Battling Spring Fever

This past week I have been stuck at home, the hospital and now back at home with a really bad case of food poisoning. I got sick after my first day at a new job, just my luck, and since then I've been thinking about what to write about, then I figured, I've been here all week, might as well write something about being sick.
So, here are some things that make me feel better when I'm feeling bad.
1. Take a hot shower/bath
This helps wake me up and get me out of the illness "fog" that I get when I'm sick.

2. Put on clean pyjamas.
This is like the sickness equivalent of getting into a fresh set of sheets after having freshly showered.

3. Turn off all the lights and nap
This one seems self-explanatory. Your body needs to rest and heal.

4. Binge watch something binge-worthy
I'm not talking things like Game of Thrones, where you need to pay attention to every detail, no, I'm talking trash-tv, something like Gossip Girl or The Walking Dead. Where it is ok if you crash halfway through an episode because you can guess how it is going to end, anyway.

5. Drink tea
This is not only warm and cozy, but the fluids are good for you and tea isn't bad, either! I love green tea with some honey when I'm not feeling well.

6. Dramatically text loved ones
This is my personal favourite because I have a flair for the dramatic, but I love telling everyone I'm so sick I'm on my "deathbed" and get their equally comedic reactions. This just puts a smile on my face after a day of hell.
